Distracted

This is what happens when mom updates the blog. Can't take my eyes off this kid for one minute. So glad it wasn't permanent.

Moana/Little Mermaid Cake

I was asked to volunteer my cake services for an auction item to raise money for the young woman in my church.  The family that won the item asked if I would make a Moana/Little Mermaid cake.  This is what I came up with. All the details with the exception of the people were either hand piped or made from fondant.

Easter

We had a great and busy Easter.  We started our festivities by visiting Karl's Grandma Clara and doing an Easter egg hunt at her place.

Afterwords we went and visited with her for a little bit.

On Easter morning the kids woke to their baskets filled with goodies.

Sadie didn't want to be left out of the picture.
That afternoon we went to my Mom's where the kids got to participate in another egg hunt.
The older kids had to wait a bit while the younger ones got a head start.

Once all the eggs were found the kids all joined in on a sword fight.

Griffin loved "fishing" in Grandma's pond and catching snails.
This was his biggest snail he caught.
The younger boys, Kayden and Drake decided they would try out the "fishing" as well.
We love that we live close enough to family to get to enjoy these holiday's together.

Griffin Rides a bike

We have been trying to get Griffin to transition off his balance bike and onto the peddle bike.  He was a bit hesitant but when his balance bike got a flat he was more more determined then ever to ride his peddle bike.  I am so proud of Griffin.  After a couple of times he was peddling on his own and going down dirt hills.

Griffin's Soccer

Griffin had his first soccer game of the season this last Saturday.  He was SO excited to play.  He ended up scoring 2 points (possibly 3-we couldn't see it well) for his team.  They unfortunately lost by one point but he had fun and can't wait to play again.

Drake's Jungle Monkey Party

This past week my lil' monkey turned 2.  So in honor of his birthday we through a jungle monkey party.

 Presents

Thank you to everyone who was able to come and help make this special boy's day a good one.

Swim Lessons

Each of the boys took swim lessons earlier this month.
Fischer was getting a refresher course on some stroke techniques

Drake was NOT a fan of swim but he did it and managed to float on his back for 60 seconds on his own
After Drake was done with his first lesson I asked him how he liked Swim lessons and he gave me this nasty glare.  The look was priceless.
Griffin could hardly wait for his turn
