Last Soccer Game

Fischer played in his last soccer game of the season today.  He played great and has loved being part of a team.  He is always so excited to play and often ask "how many sleeps until I play soccer again?"  I love watching him play.
This season was particularly fun for him as he got to play on the same team as his best friend McCoy.

His Team
After the game his coach presented each kid with a medal, and told them what he loved most about them being on his team.  Coach told Fischer, he loved his enthusiasm, how he wasn't afraid to get in there to get the ball, and that he was great at handling the soccer ball.

Boys Working Out Together

Every night Karl will take 5- 10 minutes and do different exercises.  He sets an alarm on his phone to remind him to do them and every-time it goes off Fischer and Griffin shout out, "exercise."  They love to join him and try and do what he does.  It really is quite fun to watch all the boys exercise with dad.

Eagle Mountain Rodeo

On Memorial Day we met up with my sister and her family and took Fischer and Griffin to the local rodeo.  (Drake hung out with Grandma Joyce). We always have a great time there.  We tried to talk Fischer into doing the mutton buston (aka: Sheep) riding but he wanted nothing to do with it.  Griffin however, was all up for the challenge and wanted to.  If it wasn't for his busted shoulder we might have considered it; next year for sure. We all had a great time watching the cowboys do there thing.

Broken Bone Problems

I posted earlier about Griffin braking his collarbone.  He has had to have his arm wrapped up for the last couple weeks so he walks around looking like a kid with only one arm.
Unfortunately only having use of one arm/hand has its own set of problems.  It has been throwing him off balance making him clumsy and unable to catch himself when he falls. Leaving him with many bumps and bruises.
He received this goose egg at his grandmas house when he went to go up the porch stairs, slipped and  caught his head on the edge of the stair.

Last Day of Preschool

Fischer had his last day of preschool today.  He has come so far in his letter and sound recognition.  He has also began reading. I am so proud of the accomplishments he has made this past school year.

Thirsty Anyone???

I don't know what it is about this age and drinking out of the dog's water bowl but this is how I found Griffin today. He got up, looked at me and said, "Thirsty mommy."

As I laughed and was highly grossed out at the same time, it got me thinking about another familiar picture, one of Fischer.  He was about the same age.

Feeding Drake

Nothing makes my heart swell then seeing my two older boys love on their baby brother.  What I didn't expect was that they would often fight over him as well.  It is not uncommon for them to argue on who gets to hold and feed him.  Fischer usually gets the honor of holding and feeding Drake, (he's the one that typically ask to do it more) but this go around was Griffin's turn.  He sure thought he was cool and if I would try and help re-position the baby bottle he would pull my hand and say, "me do it myself."

Playing Together

Sometimes it feels like all my boys do is fight with one another so when they play together I like to try and capture the moment.

Everywhere Sadie

I love both my dogs but when it comes to the kids and everyday family life, Sadie has to be everywhere the kids and I are.  She really is the best dog ever, she tolerates my over-energetic boys  and is the first one to be by your side when sick or having a bad day.  She just seems to sense those things.  I really believe that she takes care of us more then we take care of her. She also is a total photo bomber.  As I was going through pictures I couldn't help but laugh at the many photos she managed to squeeze herself into.
I tell the kids constantly to stop climbing on Sadie but she just stands there and takes it.
Fischer wanted me to take a picture of the two of us and Sadie came and butt her way between us.

I was working on some stuff on the Ipad when she climbed up on the chair behind me just to rest her head on my shoulder
Was picking up some toys only to look up and see this.
I didn't take this picture, Fischer did, but it is a perfect representation of her.  When doing tummy time with Drake she will plop herself down next to him to join him every time.
Sure love this overly involved dog of mine.

1 Month Old

With all that has happened time has flown by.  In some cases I can't believe that Drake is 1 month old, seems like I just brought him home.  However, with everything that has happened, I can't believe it's only been a month.  Life is crazy but this family sure is in love with this little guy.  Here are some fun things Drake has been doing this past month.
  • Starting to stay awake more during the day and is interested in everything going on around him.
  • Likes to wiggle around.
  • Has discovered his hands and likes to suck on them.
  • Holds his head up and looks around.
  • Loves bath time and practically melts into his bath chair once the warm water hits him.

Too Tired

I guess sometimes you're to tired to eat.

Fischer Selfies

Was going through the pictures on my phone and noticed that Fischer had taken some selfies.

1st Broken Bone

With three boys, I knew the day would come that someone ended up with a broken bone.  That someone ended up being Griffin in the form of a fractured collarbone.  I am not sure how he did it or what he did that ended up causing the break but he has been a trooper through it all.  He is one tough little boy.   I had noticed him favoring his right arm and thought it best to have it looked at. Glad it wasn't anything more serious.  It doesn't seem to slow him down much which I'm glad but when the doctor tells you to have him take it easy for the next 4-6 week all I can do is laugh and say is that even possible to do with a 2 year old?

Mother's Day Program

Fischer's school did the cutest little program for the Mom's today. He did a GREAT job and I loved the songs and gifts he had hand-made for me.  I love being a mom and I always feel so blessed to have the kids I do.  They can be a handful but they also melt my heart in ways I never thought possible.  I sure love this kid,  He is always so patient with me and eager to help.   He is who made me a mom.
After singing their songs Fischer surprised me with a plant, a card, and a fun "I know My Mom" sheet.
I got a good little laugh out of his answers on how well he knows me. He and I are alot alike apparently and I love how old he thinks I am.  Such a funny kid.

Sure love my Fischerman.  He really has a way of making me feel super special.

Random Happenings

Life has been busy with a newborn.  However with all the energy three boys brings we have alot of fun. Here are some random pics of things going on at our house.
Sadie and Drake checking each other out
I went to check on the boys one night and found them both "camping out" on the floor passed out asleep

Love seeing all my flowers starting to bloom
At one of Fischer's soccer games, Grandma Kate decided to give Griffin a sucker.  He made quite the mess with it.

We ended up getting together at my Mom's for my brother's birthday.

Potty Training:  Decided to attempt the potty training again.
Potty training can be exhausting
Griffin has been doing really well.  Each time he goes in the potty he receives a sticker.  Once he receives enough stickers he gets to go golfing with Daddy.

Feeding Ducks

Since it was nice, Karl and I took the kids out to feed the ducks. We love feeding the ducks and seeing all the little geeslings.
