Karl and I decided to take a long overdue vacation. It was a quick trip but it was fun none the less. Grandma Joyce was super nice to take the kids while Karl and I were gone. Vegas is always an interesting place. You run into the most random people. Keeps it lively I guess.
Our first night we arrived Karl got us tickets to see the Excalibur Tournament of the Kings. Excalibur Hotel |
During the performance they provided us with dinner which consisted of tomato soup, a garnish hen, potatoes, broccoli, and a biscuit. All of which you had to either drink or eat with your hands as no utensils were provided. It was a fun show. It was definitely intended for kids and kids at heart but we enjoyed it. If we were to go again we would have to bring the boys. They would have loved the sword fights and jousting.
Karl HATES selfies or his picture taken in general. This is the best picture of the two of us I could get. |
Not a great picture, but this was the view our of our hotel. It overlooked a private golf club. |
On our way home we stopped in St. George for a round of golf. Well...Karl golf and I enjoyed reading a book in the golf cart. It was fun to get away and have some time with Karl. He's been so busy with work that we haven't had many opportunities to be together just the two of us. So glad we were able to get away even if it was only for a couple nights.
