Pumpkins and Vampires

We had a great Halloween.  The kids loved carving pumpkins and trick-or-treating.  Their favorite item of the night were the vampire teeth one of the neighbors handed out.

Stitches

I knew this day would come at some point and I have to say with how active my boys are i'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.  We experienced our first case of stitches.  Fischer was riding his scooter when it caught on the edge of the sidewalk and he face-planted his chin into the handle bars.  Needless to say it made for a bit of a mess. I rushed him to the Instacare where they were good to get him taken care off.  He handled things great. I was so proud with how brave he was during the whole ordeal as he was EXTREMELY nervous about what was going to happen. He didn't cry at all during the procedure. After all was said and done he left with 5 stitches in his chin.  Poor guy.

Halloween Party

The other night we went to a friend's Halloween Party.  The kids loved dressing up, walking the parade, and getting to gorge themselves on popcorn and candy while watching the movie Hotel Transylvania.

House for Sale

So I guess it's official.  We have placed our house for sale.  We are excited to be building in a different area in Saratoga Springs but it's a bit bitter sweet leaving this home.   We hope all goes well with the sell and moving from this home.  Wish us luck.

Griffin's Birthday

This past week Griffin turned 3.  I can't believe how much he has grown in such a short time.  This kid makes me laugh everyday.  He is the sweetest, most lovable, fireball I know.  He has such a passion for life and gets excited over the littlest things.  He is our biggest cheerleader and sports fan.  Sure love you Griffin.

For his birthday we had family come over on Sunday to celebrate.  When I had asked what kind of party he wanted he said he wanted a bowling party. So I made him this bowling themed birthday cake.  The pins were sculpted out of rice krispies and covered in molding chocolate.  The bowling ball was vanilla sprinkle cake and the base was cookie dough cake.
He seemed to love his cake.  He kept telling me it was the "awesomeness cake EVER!"
I didn't think to get pictures of the few decorations I had but Griffin loved opening his presents.

After presents we lit candles and had cake.

On Griffins actual birthday he opened his present from us, which was a golf putting green. He loved it.
That night his dad, brothers and I took him to dinner and the bowling ally.

Griffin kicked our butts at bowling.  He was the highest scorer of the night.

Griffin told us later that night that it was his best day ever.  So glad we were able to have some fun on his special day.  Love you big boy!
