Monster Party

My little Monster turned one last week and what better way to celebrate then by having a monster party.  I loved making the different decorations and cake.  Drake seemed to love all the attention.

Drake's One Year Pictures

It seems like yesterday Drake arrived and joined our family.  Now I'm celebrating his first birthday.  His first year flew by.  I can't believe how grown up he is becoming.  Sure love this boy.  He is the happiest boy I know.  He gives the sweetest hugs, is a total mama's boy, and is starting to walk all over the place.  This kid keeps me on my toes.  Love you Drake.

Griffin's Dandelions

I LOVE that my boys enjoy bringing me flowers.  It really makes my heart swell and takes everything I have to keep my eyes from spilling over with tears over the sweetness of these amazing boys of mine.  However, when my son decided he needed to pick up EVERY dandelion he comes across on the way back from dropping Fischer off from school, it made for a long walk home.  Needless to say that kid didn't miss a single flower and this mom was feeling an overwhelming since of love.  Dandelions may have to become my favorite flower.

Griffin's First Dentist Appointment

Griffin did so awesome at the dentist this morning.  He sat so still while they cleaned his teeth and the Dentist counted them.  He was super excited about the coin he received that let him pick out a prize.  Mom and Dad were excited that everyone came out cavity free.

Drake and Kayden-Cousins

It's so fun to see Drake and his cousin Kayden play together.  They are a little over a month apart in age.  They get so excited to see eachother and are great at "sharing"  most of the time.
Both boys were catching up since seeing each other last.  I have no idea what they were saying to one another but they both seemed to get it.
Drake was showing Kayden the ball he had found.  They were so good at passing it back and forth between the two of them.
This picture made me laugh.  Drake was sucking on his own finger and when he pulled it out Kayden offered him his.

April Fools

I don't usually get into April Fools too much but thought it would be fun teasing the kids a bit by telling them we were having cupcakes for dinner.  Needless to say they weren't overly impressed by these meatloaf cupcakes.

Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was filled with all sorts of fun activities.  On Saturday we started the day with our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Great Grandma Clara's place.
The kids could hardly wait to find eggs.

Drake was Super excited about his find.

Afterwords we always try and get a picture of the kids with Great Grandma Clara.
Later that day a bunch of us decorated cupcakes and then Joyce had us all over for dinner at her house as well.  She also did a Easter Egg hunt for the kids.
Since Rachel and Drake were so little they got to have a head start on the eggs.

The rest of them were ready to go.

Drake thought the basket was fun to play peek-a-boo with.

On Easter Sunday the kids woke up to their baskets filled and some stylish Easter outfits.

That evening we met up at my Mom's house for dinner and another Easter egg hunt for the kids.

Needless to say, the kids made out really well this year.  So grateful for our family and that we are close enough to celebrate and have fun together during these holidays.
