Sunday Best and Then Some

For Easter I got Fischer a cute little outfit and tie, so of course I had to take pictures.  However, I had NO idea that it would take me the ENTIRE day to get a few decent pictures of my little guy all dressed up.  He was not wanting pictures done at all.  So here are a few of the good ones of him not screaming.

I So Sleepy...

While Fischer was taking a nap Sadie felt she needed her picture taken.  What took an entire day to get pictures of Fischer took me only 5 minutes with Sadie.  She was so funny, I  would take a picture and then she would strike a new pose.  Sadie is definetely my camera girl.  She loves having her picture taken.  I didn't have to position her in any of these pictures she did all of these on her own.

Happy Easter

We had a great Easter this year. Fischer ended up doing really well by the easter bunny.  He got a cute new outfit (picture to come soon), some new bottles, books, and socks.  He got a cute outfit from Grandma Kate and Aunt Brooke, and some fun PJ's from Grandma Joyce.  The day started by going to breakfast at my sisters house, that afternoon we did lunch at my Mom's and that evening we did dinner at Karl's mom's.  It was fun to see everyone.

Rolling Over

So Fischer has been getting really good at rolling over from his stomach to his back.  He's accomplished rolling from his stomach to his back in both directions.  However, I was SO proud of my little man today when I had him on his back and he decided to roll onto his stomach.  Yay for Fischer!  Congrats on an important milestone.

3 Months and Growing

Today my little man is three months old. How time flies.  I LOVE watching him grow and discover new things everyday.  He is such a funny little kid and has the sweetest little spirit.  Here are some fun facts about him this month.

• He loves to smile and is beggining to giggle
• He likes to tease his mom and pretend he's sad (big pouty lip and everything) only to break into a big huge smile when you look at him.
• He's beginning to talk (when i say talk I mean coo and caa)
• He's good at making the clucking sound.
• He can about sit on his own.
• He can roll over in both directions on his back.
• He's about figured out how to roll over from back to stomach.
• He likes to make spit bubbles
• He loves to cuddle.

SPRING!!!

Spring has ALWAYS been my favorite time of year. I love the flowers and the warmer weather so you can imagine my EXTREME excitement when I came home from work today and saw this in my yard. My first spring Flowers!!!

Blessing

Today we blessed Fischer. What made today so special was that his Dad was able to bless him and that we were able to share this moment with family and friends. I am so grateful to have the Priesthood in my home and to know that family really can be together forever. Thank you to everyone who was able to come and everyone who wanted to be there but couldn't. We are so blessed to have such great people around us who care and want to be part of our son's life. I would also like to thank "Aunt Brooke" for taking pictures and being patient with a not always so happy little boy.

Two Months

So Fischer had his two month appointment. He's growing up so fast and getting so big. He is such a joy in our home. It is so much fun to see him discover new things everyday. He now weighs 10 lbs 5 oz and is 23 inches long. Below are some other fun facts during the past month:

• He started to smile
• He can hold up his head
• Peak-a-boo and "run, run, run" are his favorite games.
• The light/ceiling fan in my room is the COOLEST thing EVER
• He discovered his hands and thinks they are pretty tasty.
• Bath time is lots of fun
• He's not a fan of tummy time.

Getting Back in Shape

So I got the go ahead to begin exercising from my doctor...HOLY COW it's kicking my trash. I never knew I was SO out of shape. Things I have been able to do for years is a challenge. I went and got a Latin dance workout video thinking that I should be able to do this. I've done Latin dancing for years and did quite well. Yeah, trying to do it is an embarrassment to myself. Oh well, I only hope that I am motivated enough to keep it up I really want to get back into shape and back into my clothes again. So, to all my friends out there, please when you see me ask me how my exercising is going and encourage me to keep it up.

To a Great Man

I just wanted to take a moment and give appreciation to my husband Karl. I've always known that I was lucky to marry such a great person. But I really can't express how happy that man makes me. I love him SO much. I don't know how I was fortunate enough to have someone like that as my husband. He makes me laugh each day and he is so supportive. He doesn't complain when the house doesn't get cleaned or when we end up having Mac and Cheese for the third time in a week (okay so it hasn't gotten that bad). He is so helpful and caring. I love watching him bond with Fischer and see the light in his eyes as he plays with his little boy. He is such a proud Dad. He has been great with him and is so willing to take his turn with him at night or change a diaper. He just gets up and does it.

Karl amazes me. I love that we can talk about anything. I love that he encourages me to be better or is just a listening ear when things are tough.

The "Other" Mother

So my dog Sadie has really taken a liking to Fischer. She is such a good helper and thinks she needs to mother him. When Fischer cries at night she is the first one up running into his room to make sure he is okay. When a diaper needs to be changed she is right there making sure I do an adequate job and the other night I found her sleeping in the baby room. She is such a funny dog. As I was taking pictures of Fischer she had to come lay down and join him. I have a feeling they will be the best of friends.

1 Month Old

I can't believe Fischer is 1 month old today. He has been such a joy to our family. I can't imagine my life without him. Here are some funny/fun facts about my little man this month.

• He likes to stoke his hair when sleeping
• He hates being naked and having his diaper changed.
• He loves to sleep and be held.
• He can roll over from his tummy to his back.
• He's ticklish on his back.
• His bouncer is his favorite thing.

Roll Over

I am constantly amazed at my little man. Each day he gets stronger and stronger and continues to amaze me. Today Fischer rolled over all by himself. I know most people probably wouldn't care but I was so proud of my little man. I couldn't believe how strong he was getting. My favorite was his face after he accomplished it. He looked like he had just concord the world. I think he was as surprised as I was. I put him back on his stomach to see if he would do it again just to see if it happened to be an accidental roll over but he did. He is also starting to hold up his head on his own and loves to look around.

3 Weeks Old

So yesterday my baby turned three weeks old. I can't believe how fast time is going by. It just seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. So far it has been an incredible experience; one that has been harder and better then I could have ever imagined. I love my little man. He is such a sweetheart and has the sweetest little personality. He has been a great baby thus far and has been very patient with his not so professional parents. We are so blessed to have him in our lives and only after three weeks I don't know how we ever lived without him.
Currently "mom" is working on getting some sort of schedule/routine together. I think the routine is more for my sake then for his but with me going back to work in a few weeks I would like to have something established or some routine put in place. Hopefully it'll all work out well.
