Baptism Day

Fischer made the decision to be baptized on Saturday as a Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a Mother my heart was humbled and amazed at his remarkable testimony. This really was a decision he made. Honestly I wasn't so sure at times with my own testimony falling short but he was so sure and said "Mom, stop asking if I want to be baptized. I know this church is true and I want to be like Jesus and part of that means being baptized." This kid teaches me so much. So honored to be his Mom. I can't thank everyone enough who came and help make this day special for him.  He has been looking forward to this day for months and even made me practice dipping him down in the water since dad was out of town until the night before.  Naturally we didn't have a font or anything but he was worried his foot would slip up and he would have to do it again.  I told him even if it did it would be fine and they would just do it again, it wasn't a big deal.  However, I gave him tricks on ways to keep his feet from coming up.  He did it perfect and it wasn't even an issue.

SO beyond proud of this little man.  LOVE HIM!!

We were so grateful for all of our family and friends who attended.  It really meant a lot to me and to him.

We were so excited when we found out Fischer' s friend Jacob was getting baptized in the same building. He lives just around the corner from us but was getting baptized in his Dad's ward who just happens to be in the same Stake we were.

This is the cake I made for the lunchean/refreshments after.  I really loved how it turned out personally.

Top tier and book is a Pistachio Chocolate Chip cake with chocolate ganache filling, the bottom tier is a Chocolate Cookies n’ Cream cake.
I of course decorated the place a bit as well.  I wanted it to be a special day all about him.

Fischer took "feasting on the word" literally and enjoyed the Book of Mormon.
