1st Day

Fischer started his first day of preschool.  He was SO excited. When I went to walk him into his school he looked at me and said, "It's okay Mom, I got this."  When did he get so grown up?  He made me want to laugh and cry in the same moment.  Sure love this kid.

Dinosaur Museum

The other day the kids and I met up with some friends and went and explored the dinosaur museum. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

Griffin loved getting to explore a bit
The had these fun hands-on exhibits that the kids got to play in.

Fischer was really unsure about the shark and was worried it might eat him.  It took a little coxing to get him to stand that close for a picture.
At the end of the museum there is a sand area where the kids can find fossils for themselves.

Fischer has been wanting to ride a train for awhile so on Monday I took Fischer on Trax and we met up with a friend at Temple Square.

Zoo

The other day the kids and I were lucky enough to go to the Zoo with Brooke and my sister Lisa.  The kids had a great time.

10 Months

I cannot believe how quickly 10 months has gone by. Griffin is really developing and doing new things everyday.  Here are some milestones from the last month.

  • Went on his first camping trip. (Did awesome)
  • Can put himself into a sitting position.
  • Started crawling and cruises all over the place.
  • Can pull himself up to a standing position.
  • Got his first tooth.
  • Loves to walk around while having his hands held.

Crawdad Fest

Every year we have gone camping up near Strawberry Reservoir and taken part on what has become called as the Crawdad Fest.  We had a great time camping with family and friends.
View from the campsite.
We arrived Friday evening and enjoyed hanging around the fire.
The next morning Karl and my Brother-in-law Andy went fishing.

I stayed at camp with the kids but we got rained on that morning so some of the kids took cover in my sister's trailer and watched a movie.
The rain didn't last long and the kids were outside enjoying nature.
Fischer found this stick and was playing with it most of the morning

Griffin really enjoyed this piece of watermelon during lunch
After lunch, Karl, I and kids went down to the lake.
Fischer enjoyed throwing rocks in the lake and watching the dogs chase after them.

While at the lake Andy and some of the crew came floating by.
We then decided to head back to camp to let the kids play and help with dinner.
Dinner consisted of crawdads that were caught earlier in the day as well as sausage, shrimp, scallops, corn, and potatoes

of course it wouldn't be camping without peeing on a bush.

Fischer made lots of new friends

 Griffin had fun with everyone.

That night Shane entertained us with some of his fire tricks.

He even got the kids and grownups involved.
Since it's a bit hard to see, the first video is of Shane's hand on fire while he shakes Fischer's hand.
This video is of Karl blowing a fire ball.
This last video is of Shane showing all the guys how a true fireball is done.

Monday Night Golf

Karl took the family out to the driving range. Fischer loved hitting the golf balls.

Griffin was happy with the golf sleeve cover.
