Summer Fun

I've been really behind posting so sorry to anyone who attempts to visit my blog.  As some of you may or may not be aware I recently had a Tympanoplastic Surgery (AKA: eardrum reconstruction).  Anyway I suffer from hearing loss in both ears but mostly in my left ear so on June 17th I went into surgery to hopefully restore some of my hearing in my left ear.  I was out of it for awhile so I'm trying to play catch up.  Here are some fun things our family has been doing.

SLIP N' SLIDE
The ward did a big slip n' slide event.  I couldn't participate due to my recent surgery but Fischer and Karl sure had a fun time.

Fischer was having a hard time going down himself so Daddy had him slip down riding on his back.

 

Don't think there is a cuter face then this.

 

FARM ANIMALS
A friend and I took the kids to Thanksgiving point to see the Farm Animals. Since we were going to ride horses Fischer had to make sure he wore his cowboy boots.

Griffin had fun too.

"My Size Fish!"

Karl took Fischer on a scout camp a while back ago and Fischer was so excited that he and dad were able to catch a Fischer "my size fish."

Ready to Race

Fischer is so funny.  He's been really big into the motorcycle races so he has taken it upon himself to become a motorcycle racer too.  He found these goggles in a construction work set thing he had and they have become his motorcycle goggles.  Now anytime he rides his bike he preps himself for his big race.

Family Pictures

I've been wanting to do family pictures for awhile.  This past month we finally were able to get them done.  The kids weren't the most cooperative but we still had fun.

7 Months

I am loving this age.  Griffin is SO much fun and his personality is coming out bigger and better then ever.  He is a funny kid with his own corks.  Here are some fun things about Griffin this month.

• He's discovered his toes.  He loves to grab them, play with them, and suck on them.
• When he doesn't like something I am giving him he shakes his head no, no, no.  
• He said his first word..Dada.  (Still working on trying to get him to say Mama.  What can I say, Daddy is just to much fun.)
• He giggles, chuckles, and laughs.
• He is sitting on his own.
• His favorite sleeping position is on his belly, bum high in the air.
• He loves watching big brother Fischer.
• He is clapping (see video below). It's so cute!

6 Month Pics

I just want to give a HUGE shout out to my sister-in-law who was so patient and took the 6 month pictures of Griffin, particularly since we did them on two separate days.  I think the pictures turned out great.  I sure love this little guy.

Motorcross

Karl, Fischer and I had a great time at the Motorcross this year.  We couldn't have asked for better weather.   Since we it was kind of a long event Griffin got to hang with Grandma for the day. 

Fischer enjoyed hangin' with the Rockstar ladies.

Harley Davidson

Fischer, Griffin,  and I decided to go check out the Harley Davidson Store the other day.  It was a neat building.  Fischer loved checking out all the motorcycle and got to sit on one of the "just my size" bikes.
