A Name

So Karl and I have decided on a name for our little man. We will be calling him Fischer James Christensen. We are both excited and can't wait to have him come to our home. Karl came up with the name Fischer (big surprise) although he never remembers coming up with it, and James comes from my Dad as it is his middle name.

IT'S A BOY!

Just got back from the ultrasound and are excited to announce that Karl and I are expecting a Boy! We are both really excited (Karl especially-he can't stop grinning). I also got what I call the "tiger woods" victory dance from Karl. Our little guy was not very cooperative as he was very shy and was not wanting his picture taken. We never did get a good face shot cause he had his face buried into my spine. The doctor had to push him around a little bit just to see what he was. He finally came around and decided to "open up" but only for a second but long enough to get a good shot and pause it. My due date has also been moved back a week so I am now due December 31st.

Date Nights

So since Karl was gone on his big fishing trip in Montana during our Anniversary, we had to celebrate our special occasion at a later time. Although we didn't get to celebrate on the actual day we were married I had a great time. Last Saturday Karl and I decided to have a fun, but low key night. He took me out to Texas Road House for dinner where we were able to sit back, talk, and just catch up on what happened during the week while he was gone. After dinner Karl took me to a movie I have been wanting to see, The Proposal. We both liked the movie and had a good laugh over it.

The following Tuesday, Karl surprised me with Cirque Du Soleil tickets for the Saltimbanco show for Thursday night that is here in Salt Lake City. I was SO excited. I have never been to any of their shows and had wanted to for some time. So last night I got to see my first Cirque Du Soleil show and I have to say it didn't disappoint. It was amazing some of the things these people could do. It was fun watching Karl cause the whole time during the show he kept shaking his head saying that crazy, can you believe that, wow that's just crazy. I think we were both impressed. Karl also was able to get my ring back from the jewelers. He decided to get an anniversary band to go with my wedding ring and was having them all put together for me. It looks great and I'm really excited about it. All in all, it ended up being a great 5 year anniversary celebration. I got to spend time with the man I love.

Beginners Luck

So on Wednesday Karl and my co-worker Shane decided to go bass fishing. I've been trying to hook Shane and Karl up for months. They both are into the same type of things, have identical personalities, and views about life in general. I knew that they would hit it off, no problem. So Shane decided he was going bass fishing and was wondering if Karl wanted to come. Karl of course did. (It is fishing after all, of course he would want to go). So they met up and went up to Jordenelle to tackle some small mouth bass. Karl has actually never done bass fishing but Shane was confident he would pick it up without any problems. Wouldn't you know beginners luck would be in Karl's favor. Karl caught the biggest small mouth bass Shane has ever seen. (Shane has been bass fishing for years). Shane was greatly impressed, and Karl was pretty proud of himself. Both had a great time and are looking forward to when they can get together again soon.

Fishing Trip Of A Lifetime!

Karl, his cousin Sean, and his friend Eric decided to take a week long fishing trip to the South Fork of the Flat Head located in Montana. They hiked in 30+ miles and then floated down the river for 4 days fishing. They all had a great time. Karl has had this trip planned since October of last year. Sounds like they caught a lot of fish and had fun doing it.

During the hike Karl ended up walking in a mud hole and loosing his shoe.

Boy??? Girl??? Only time will tell.

Well, I finally got my appointment set up for my ultrasound. I am SO excited I can hardly wait. I hope the baby cooperates so that we can distinguish the gender. I go in on August 13th. Anyone have guesses as what it might be, boy or girl??? I haven't had any sort of impression one way or another.

One thing at a time

Well, I found my old camera...unfortunately, i just found out my new camera went for a nice little swim in a river and Karl can't get it to work. Yeah...haven't gotten the entire story but I'm told I will get it soon when Karl gets better reception on his phone. Cross your fingers for me that it can be fixed. If not, I guess I know what I'm getting for Christmas.

Bitter Sweet News

It sounds like our little puppy has found a home. Arrangements are being made for a deposit to have him held and it looks like he will be picked up on August 4th. I'm excited for the new owners and I think he'll be in good hands. The wife is a vet assistant/receptionist for the Vet I take my dogs too and the husband is looking for a dog he can take fishing with. (Karl should be pleased with that). The pup went in for his 6 week shot and the receptionist just fell completely in love with him. Her and her husband have been looking for a puppy for some time and she was excited to see a Vizsla since they just aren't that common. The puppy has been so much fun having around and it will be hard to say good bye but at the same time it'll be nice to have things back to normal and not have a puppy chewing on EVERYTHING. All good things come to end at some point i guess. It was only a matter of time that this one did too.

No Camera

So, I was going to post some pictures and I realized, I don't have my camera. Karl has it. And can I find my old one....Nope! I have searched high and low for my old camera and have determined it is lost forever. So until I can get my other camera back, no pictures. Sorry.

5 Years And Still In Love

I can't believe five years ago I married Karl, the man I love. I have loved every minute of these past years. We have had some ups and some downs but through it all we have continue to grow closer to one another. Five years ago I had a scripture engraved on the inside of Karl's ring. That scripture was Phil. 1:3 which says, "I thank my God upon every thought of you." That statement was as true then as it is today. I don't know how I was so blessed to get such a great man. I still get butterflies and goose bumps when I think about him and I truly thank my God for allowing me to share my life with someone like him. He completes me. He is such a blessing and one who does SO much for me. He makes me laugh and smile everyday. Happy 5 year Anniversary Karl, I love you!

I just wanted to express a quick thank you to my friends and family who gave me some helpful tips on this blog thing. Without them I'd still be stuck with a white boring background and no way of adding friends. Still have a lot to learn with what I want to do with it but thanks to all of you who helped me at least get my foot in the door with this.
