Bears, Bows, and Flowers Baby Shower

Earlier today the Christensen girls came together to throw my Sister-in-law Robyn a baby shower.  I really couldn't be more excited for her. I know she is going to make a great mother even if she feels like she has no idea what she is doing. Who does?  Brooke and I came together and came up with the idea of bears, bows and flowers for this shower.  Robyn collects bears from different places she's been so we felt having a baby shower representing bears was perfect.
The Mother to be.
DECORATION
I really have to give a shout out to Brooke (My SIL) she really is a master when it comes to decorating. It was her ideas and creativity that made this shower come together the way it did.

The table allowed guest to write something silly or fun on a diaper, guess how many teddy grahams were in the container, and address an envelope for a chance to win a prize.

The cradle was made by my father-in-law and the bedding was sown by my mother in law.  They have made one for each  of their kids family.  The craftsmanship behind it is stunning and so touching.  I know Robyn will love hers as much as I have loved mine.
With so many cute bears it only seemed appropriate to add an even cuter girl.
The Christensen ladies.  We make a great team.
 CAKE and CUPCAKES
I had the honor of being in charge of the cake and cupcakes.  The bear is frosted in all buttercream with fondant details.  The floral cupcakes were done out of buttercream as well. The cupcakes ended up being a bit more labor intensive then I had anticipated but it was well worth the effort. I was pleased with the outcome of it all and thought it turned out really cute.

THE FOOD
For lunch we all came together and made sweet pork salad/burritos.  Everything tasted great.

Kaylee even went to the trouble to cut out watermelon bears

 THE PARTY
Robyn got some really cute stuff.

As Brooke was trying to get pictures of Robyn opening presents Rachel keep stepping in front of her trying to see inside the camera.
I'm glad we were able to work together to make this a fun day for Robyn.  I hope she felt loved and knows how excited we are for her.

Milcreek Canyon

The other day we decided to go for a little hike up Milcreek Canyon.  It was fun just getting out and enjoy nature.

Even with all the dirt Drake could play with he preferred hanging out in  the fire pit.

Fischer & Griffin's Spring Soccer

We have been busy this spring with both Fischer and Griffin playing in the West Jordan Spring Soccer league.  Both boys played great.  Karl even got to coach Fischer's team.
FISCHER

Fischer loved having "Dad" coach
Fischer and Coach Dad

Fischer had just scored a goal and was coming to give Coach "dad" five.

GRIFFIN

Griffin had just scored a goal and he ran around the field shouting "I made a goal!! woohoo!"

Sure love these soccer playing boys of mine.

Odysseo Cavalia

For Mother's Day, Karl got me tickets to go see the Odysseo Cavalia show in Sandy.  This show was AMAZING.  The artisticness, the talent, and the training of the horses really can't even be described unless you saw the show for yourself.  We decided to take the older boys with us. They were in awe with all the stunts and performances.

Park Fun

We always like getting out and checking out new parks in the area.  This park was at the Veterans Memorial Park in West Jordan.
The zip-line was by far my older boys favorite.

Drake Loves the slides.
