Batman Party Fun

Fischer and Griffin got invited to their good friend McCoy's birthday party.  The kids had a blast.
Each kid was given a batman and/or Robin costume.

Clara's 100th Birthday Party

Karl's Grandmother Clara turned 100 last week. I absolutely adore this woman. I'm so blessed that I married into such a wonderful family and get to claim her as my own.  She is so amazing and just a joy to be around.  When I was asked to do the cake (okay I basically told them I was doing a cake) I knew I wanted to make a cake as special as her.   The flowers were handmade out of gum-paste, the silhouettes were created and cut carefully out of fondant.

Cake flavors: Coconut cake w/coconut cream frosting; chocolate cookies and cream cake; Lemon cake w/strawberry buttercream; white cake with purple buttercream.

 The family all came together to decorate, prepare food and have a good time.

Clara was so funny, when asked how it felt to be 100 she replied, "no different then when I turned 50."  This woman has more spunk then most 30 year olds.  She has such an amazing life story and doesn't let anyone or anything get her down.

Cousin Time

We've been having fun hanging out with our cousins the last few days.

Movie in the basement

 Brooke invited us over for dinner at her new place.  Drake loved being pulled around in this little wagon.

Baseball/T-Ball

The boys have been having a blast playing baseball/T-ball this Spring. 

GRIFFIN

Griffin LOVED getting the ball in the outfield.  He didn't much care for batting but getting to catch the ball was in his words..."Awesome!"

He was so excited about catching the ball.  This was a victory dance.

 FISCHER

Fischer was so serious for his game.  He was determined to be like the professionals.  He got some awesome hits and loved sliding into home base.

 Both were super excited about their trophy they received.  Love watching these boys play.

Tulip Festival

The boys and I went and checked out the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point. The flowers were so beautiful and the boys loved smelling and checking out all the different flowers.

Fischer was so good to push Drake around

Griffin was our navigator around the park.  He didn't want anyone touching his map.  He was good at telling us where to go next.

 At one area of the park they had a kids fun zone with blow up slides and other activities.
