We had Fischer's nine month pictures taken. It was so fun being up in the mountains and enjoying the colorful leaves. Fischer thought the leaves were pretty cool.

It's the little things
So last night I got to experience one of the cutest things ever. Fischer woke up screaming around 3:00 this morning. So I grab a bottle and stumble to his room. I picked him up and just held him since he really wasn't interested in the bottle. He mostly seemed to just want to be loved on and be held by mom. So we sat down in the comfy chair in his room and just chilled. I grabbed his blanket to help comfort him. He LOVES his blanket. It's a fleece blanket with the little tassel type tie things around it. Anyway he loves to suck on them. He grabs one tassel to rub along his cheek and another tassel to suck on. It's pretty cute. Well while I was sitting there with him I was pretty tired and had my head back with my eyes closed. The next thing I feel is this soft blanket being shoved into my face/mouth. I look down at Fischer to see him wide eyed, holding the blanket straight up to my face handing me a tassel. It was really cute to see Fischer sharing his blanket with me and offering a tassel for me to suck on. It was such a sweet little funny moment. I couldn't help but giggle about his willingness to share something he loves so much with his mom. Oh, how I love that little boy.
9 Months
I can't believe Fischer is 9 months old. I know I say this all the time but he really is getting so big. He is so much fun! Here are some fun facts about him this past month.
- He loves to hang upside down.
- He reaches for things beyond his reach and is quite creative on how he manages to retrieve them.
- He loves to play peek-a-boo with mommy.
- He's learned how to yell and often does when he doesn't have our complete attention.
- He enjoys being read to and looking at all sorts of different books.
- He babbles mama, dada, and other syllables.
- He starting to hold his own bottle/sippy cup.
- He'll eat ANYTHING and often does. He's the least fussy eater I've ever seen.
- He likes to "play with himself" in the bathtub. Lets just say he's discovered new parts of his body and thinks it's pretty cool. ("Dad" finds it hilarious).
- He LOVES to be outside, at the park, or out for a walk.

Ms. Maddie
Today my sweet little niece Maddie will be undergoing Ureteral reimplant surgery. Unfortunately this has caused much stressed for her parents. As it would with any parent. Having now be a parent, I can appreciate those parents whose children are sick and in need of surgery or multiple surgeries. I think about my son and how I would do anything to protect him and how some things as a parent you feel so helpless with nothing you can do about it. We all hope an pray for healthy children. However, since that is not the case and things happen, I'm grateful for modern medicines that allow so many miracles to take place. Maddie is a strong willed little girl and she is going to do great. My prayers are with you and we hope for a quick recovery. We love you cute girl!

Hot Momma
So yesterday I had the priviledge of shopping with my mom. I never knew that shopping with my mother could be this much fun. She has been working really hard and has lost quite a bit of wieght. Anyway none of her clothes fit her and even I was unsure about how much weight she had lost because her clothes hid alot of it. Anyway we decided it was time to go shopping and show off her accomplishments. I have to say, my mom is HOT! She actually is lighter then I am by about 10 pounds and now wearing things that I never thought she would. We went and got her some killer designer jeans, some taylored shirts that show off how thin she is, along with outfits that I know i'm going to have to borrow. It was SO much fun. I don't think my mom knew how good she could look. I'll never forget how excited she was when she put that first pear of jeans on and realized she was wearing a size 4 and that she looked good. The stuff we got her is so stylish and compliments her so well. We went to Buckle, Maureces, Express, everywhere. Watch out world cause there is a whole new woman in town. Congrats Mom you deserve it!

Happy 30th Karl!
Today is Karl's 30th birthday! I can't believe he's reached is 30's with me closely behind. Karl is wonderful. I hope he has a great birthday. His birthday has become kind of a weekend event. Friday Fischer and I took "Dad" some balloons and cupcakes to his work. We then got to enjoy lunch together at Taco Bell. Saturday we spend the day at Cowabunga Bay and went to the BYU game. This morning we made Karl breakfast, had him open presents, and will be spending the evening with the Christensen's. Since tomorrow is Labor day we will be doing a birthday lunch for him at Rib City and that evening we'll finish off the celebration by having some of his friends over for some chips and salsa while they watch some football game and finalize the "boys" hiking trip that they have been planning. All in all it's made for a busy but fun weekend. I love you Karl and I'm so glad I get to share in this special day with you.
